My name is RiP. I'm a 34 year old writer/poet/photographer/shit talker/wishing he was retired air force member i...who has lived all over the world. I'm currently living outside of Trier, Germany and I've been living here since 2009. Before that I lived in England, Korea, Washington DC, Korea, Panama...like I said all over the world...literally. But originally, my home is Montgomery, Alabama and before you ask...no I'm not related to Rosa Parks.
For a long time I wrote poetry, short stories, essays. I published two books, Someone Is Sleeping In My Head in 2000 and Lost In A Mellow Rain in 2004...anything that would get my mind flowing in some direction. Then i stopped...got burned out trying to keep up with the demand I guess. Became a photographer. Started to paint...found other venues to express myself and I lost my way.
I fear with the advancement of the crackbook aka facebook, my imagination has been slowly eroded by residual checking for notifications and post responses. So this blog is my true attempt to disconnect from the blue box and share my thoughts on everything with the world everyday with the hope that it not only helps me in my journey to make my creative foundation solid again, but that someone out there in the cyperspace cosmos might hear something i have to say and laugh, or smile, or cuss etc. As long as I'm sparking something in my mind or someone else's mind, I'm in a good place. I'll post stories, poetry, ignorant statements, shoe sale coupons...almost anything on my mind, this is my diary to share with the world.

Be forewarned, I'm a grown man so my vernacular at times can be a bit rough but certain topics call for certain tones. And I can be silly. I attack serious topics with a smile and a laugh because i honestly think you can do both and still learn something. You might not like what i say but fortunately for me, I'm not required to care if you do or not, lol
Nikki Giovanni said, "You have to do something to let the world know you exist." I've gotten away from that. This is my s.o.s. to get back where i need to be.
